This blog is from a Reformed Baptist, Covenantal, Amillennial perspective. I will touch on many different topics as I read, study, listen to sermons, or search the web in an effort to better inform the children of God concerning the things of God.

Have you read or study much on Presuppositional apologetics?
Thanks for your reply friend. To answer your question: No I haven’t studied much on the presuppositional method, but have read “Five Views of Apologetics” by Gundry and Cowan. I found John Frame’s arguments the weakest out of the five methods.
I am more of a Classical Apologist and follow Sproul, Gerstner, and Aquinas on this method. I tend to believe that Bahnsen’s debate with Sproul has been over emphasized by the Presuppositional community because Bahnsen argued that it was illogical to not begin with the God of the Bible as one’s epistemological starting point, but yet he started with reason and logic in order to argue that.
Here is a short Pdf arguing this very point.
Some Brief Critical Thoughts on Presuppositionalism by Richard G. Howe, Ph. D
I am beginning to go through several series of lectures by John Frame and John Robbins on Philosophy and Apologetical methodology. But if one did hold to Presuppositional apologetics which one would they hold to seeing that Bahnsen, Van Till, Frame and several others do not hold to the same views on presuppositionalism?
It has also been stated that Van Till himself was no Presuppositionalist because in his writings he argued that one could use the classical arguments for God’s existence.
Hey brother,
While we clearly do disagree on apologetics’ methodology, I mean this sincerely that I am glad that there is another brother out there engaging in apologetics and blogging that is theologically Reformed.
Thank you friend.
I to am thankful for your blog. There have been some good articles come off of it. I also like your ebook page.
I would like to add that though I lean heavily towards Classical apologetics, nonetheless I have used a cumulative case a time or two. In other words I have argued for God’s truth from several methods.
Also I want to say that I really am trying to look into presuppositionalism at the time and trying to grasp it. I understand it boils down to our epistemological starting points.
Thanks again.
