Update on converting Bunyan to Pdf

Good morning. I hope and pray that all is well with the readers of this blog.

I can’t remember if I mentioned that I was converting John Bunyan’s works to Pdf, seeing that I work 3 hours a morning on this endeavor and then work 10 hours a day at my place of employment.

Anyhow, all is going well with the placing of Bunyan in Pdf format. I am almost done with his works. However, my storage space on my site has grown thin, so I may just offer the work up for a low price on Cd. This will allow me to purchase more web space. We shall see how this goes as the Lord leads me in this move.

Have a blessed day.

Your brother in Christ,

Hershel L. Harvell Jr.

Free Ebooks Web Page Update-1481 Ebooks linked to this site!

August 6, 2018 3 comments

Good morning. Just wanted to let everyone know that some new links have been added to my Free Ebooks Web Page. This is a page that I built several years ago which contained links to books that I have searched for and to aide individuals in finding and locating books around the web. Some of these links are to ‘hard to find books.’ In other words, I have searched and searched the web for you. The links to ‘hard to find books’ are the best links that one can access for these materials. This page contains 593 links to ebooks.

As of right now, my site, not including this blog, has 1481 Ebooks linked to it. This does not include any side bars or top link bars. Most of these books are in Pdf.

If you find a broken link, then please let me know. If you find a link that you would like to see on this site, then please let me know. You can contact me through this blog or through my email, which is linked to the bottom of all my web pages.

Blessings in Christ,

Hershel L. Harvell Jr.

Charles H. Spurgeon is in the Sola Gratia Library

Just wanted to let everyone know that Charles H. Spurgeon is now part of the Sola Gratia Library. If you would like to read through his 63 volumes of sermons or maybe read his “All of Grace,” his “Commentary on Matthew,” or any of his other 60 plus books, then give my site a visit.

Also several more books have been added to the ‘Works of History’ page. Several Works have also been added to the main page of the library, such as: ‘The Works of Johnathan Edwards,’ several books by John Owen, etc…; and several commentaries have been added to my ‘Bible Commentary’ page.

The ‘Baptist Issues’ page has several new links and my ‘Creeds-Confessions’ page has several new links, including two links by my friend and Brother, Randall Klynsma: “A Case For Explicit Creedalism: Meaningful Togetherness Is Impossible Without It” By Randall Klynsma (and Rev. David Fagrey) (Pdf) and “The Complete Gospel: Biblical Faith as Summarized in the Creeds of the Early Church and the Heidelberg Catechism” by Randall Klynsma

I hope you enjoy these latest additions.

Library Update!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have several new updates. First of all, I put a link on the top toolbar of every page. This required going through every page and installing it and then going into my site and deleting every page and loading a new page. One change on the page is not effective unless I load a new copy of that page.

Secondly, Sola Gratia Library has been updated with two new pages. I have put up ‘The Works of John Calvin’ and ‘Works of History.’ The ‘Works of History’ page is a page containing books on the history of the Church, the history of the Baptists, the history of the Reformation, etc…. It is history books written by men such as: Henry C. Vedder, J. A. Wylie, John Knox, Joseph Ivimey, etc…So be sure to check it out.

The Works of Augustine and some miscellaneous books have been added to the main page of the Sola Gratia Library. So be sure to check them out. Remember, all files are in Pdf.

To access my Home page, to access the Sola Gratia Library, to access The Works of John Calvin, and to access Works of History, click any link.

One More Update!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have added a library to my website. This library will contain the works of the Reformers, Puritans and men who were gifted by God to write on the deep things of God.

The name of the library is ‘Sola Gratia Library.’ So far it contains all the writings of Arthur Pink, some partial works of John Gill, and some miscellaneous writings of others. Arthur Pink and John Gill have their own page. The miscellaneous works are linked to the main page of the ‘Sola Gratia Library.’ The link to this library can be found in the introductory portion of the home page of my site or you can access the library with the links below.

This will be my last update for a few weeks, as I have other things that I need to get done. I hope you enjoy the library.

Website Update! More Pdf’s!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have done another major update to my website. However, it isn’t as big as the one I announced a week or so ago. By the way, if you haven’t seen the newly designed site, then check it out here. Every url to every page has slightly changed, so be sure to book mark the site.

Now for the update: When you build a site offline, then you have to build every single page separately. This means that whatever is on your tool bars or side bars has to remain consistent because if it changes, if you get one broken link, then every toolbar or side bar has to be fixed on every single page. It is not like a site built online, whereby you fix the broken link on your tool bars or side bars in one place and it fixes the tool bar or side bar for every page. The reason being is that the online tool bars or side bars are the same for every page. In other words, you have a tool bar or side bar that is one unit which is used on every page. Considering I have around 34 pages, then what I link on the tool bar or side bar needs to remain consistent, in order that I have no broken links on these bars.

Therefore, this past weekend I have finished editing and building 60 pdf books consisting of catechisms, creeds, confessions, and Church councils. All 60 pdf’s contain my own personal title page. All 60 pdf’s have been uploaded and linked to my creeds-confessions page. Therefore, if you would like to download some catechisms, creeds, confessions, and Church councils, then please visit my page here. Some of these are linked to my tool bars, so I wanted them to stay linked.

Some of these documents are not found on your average website, so download and peruse them in your ministry or for personal study.

Exciting News from Reformed on the Web!

After spending 18 hours or more a day, on my days off, I have succeeded in giving my website a face-lift. The entire site has been rebuilt, links reordered, new pages added, and hundreds of new links added. Unlike the pages offered by my site provider, these have been built offline and then uploaded. The hardest part was trying to figure out what links my uploaded pages would become, once I uploaded the files. I had to figure this out in order to build a single sidebar for the 34 pages I uploaded. I thank God I got them all right when I first took on this project. This was very important considering all my url’s changed slightly due to the fact that I uploaded the pages verses building them online.

Subheadings of theology have an entire page and I begin by defining that particular subheading of theology. (However, I have not tackled every subheading of theology. That is to come in the future, if it be the Lord’s will.) I then added interesting articles, articles that defend that particular subheading, and sometimes links which contain counter arguments. (This is especially true concerning my baptismal-debates page. I provide links for the position of credo-baptism and links for the position of paedo-baptism.)

As for now, the audio-sermons page is under construction. I have hundreds of links to go through before I can build it. However, the page does exists. It just says: “Under construction.”

So if you are interested in reading some interesting articles on certain points of theology or you are interested in downloading several hundred Ebooks, including the Reformation History Library (See the bottom of my Homepage), then check my rebuilt website out.

You can visit the home page by going here. Please be sure to bookmark the home page when you visit.

God bless,

Hershel L. Harvell Jr.
